According to a report by technology news platform The Information, Reliance Jio and OpenAI have explored the possibility of making ChatGPT more accessible to Indian users. OpenAI has also internally discussed reducing the subscription price of ChatGPT, which currently stands at $20 per month.

Reliance is considering selling OpenAI’s models via API (Application Programming Interface) to businesses and developers in India. Additionally, the company is exploring options to host and operate these AI models within India, ensuring that local user data remains within the country.
