New Tatkal Booking Timings From April 15
The updated Tatkal ticket booking hours are among the most significant modifications. The modified timings are given in the following table according to class type:

Direct passenger access is given priority under the new time system, which also stops travel agents from making reservations during the crucial first two hours.
Process For Booking Tatkal Tickets
For increased efficiency, the Tatkal ticket booking procedure on the IRCTC website and mobile app has also been updated. The following are the primary steps to take under the new system:
- Access the IRCTC mobile app or website at www.irctc.co.in.
- Choose the train and class that you want (AC/Non-AC).
- From the drop-down menu, choose the "Tatkal" quota.
- Enter the ID proof number and the passenger's data.
- Go to the payment page and finish the reservation
